I have seen the error message couple of time when deleting the group in FIM 2010
Error in DeleteGroup::SetGroupPropertiesInAD, message: DeleteGroup::SetGroupPropertiesInAD, ObjectSIDString is either null or empty, cannot delete the group at this time.
Would you please help and cover the steps how to fix it.

I was not able to cover this particular error. But please let me try and help. If you post the question with some more details on when the error occurs in the TechNet FIM forum I will be happy to try and answer your question.
